Walmart Bows Its Own Streaming Devices, Taking On Roku, Other Players

Walmart's line of economy-priced streaming devices, through a private-label brand dubbed Onn, are now available for purchase online.

The line includes an Android TV UHD device (shown), priced at $29.98, with Dolby capabilities and an HDMI cable — which will compete with the Roku Express 4K, a device manufactured for Walmart by Roku and priced at $35, according to NextTV.

Walmart Onn is also offering a $25 Android TV-powered HD-only streaming stick, which is said to be out of stock presently.

The devices offer the capabilities of Google Play Store in Android TV, which includes all major SVOD and AVOD streaming apps. They also include Google Assistant voice control through their remotes.
