Edelman Taps Gyro Co-Founder Becker For New Integration Role

Edelman has named gyro co-founder Christoph Becker as its first-ever global chair of integration, effective July 1.

Becker, a 35-year industry veteran is tasked with driving integration across Edelman’s array of offerings including creative, data & intelligence, digital and strategic planning.

Becker will be based in New York and report to CEO Richard Edelman.

Edelman said the agency’s future growth “requires all aspects of Edelman working together to deliver integrated and relevant solutions for clients,” and that Becker’s experience makes him well-suited for the new role.

Becker co-founded gyro 12 years ago and most recently served as CEO and chief creative officer. The agency was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network in 2016 and became a core component of Merkle’s revamped B2B offering last fall.

At gyro, Becker worked with many blue-chip brands including Aflac, Danone, American Express, eBay, Google, HP, Facebook and others. He also led gyro’s acquisition and integration process into Dentsu Aegis (now Dentsu International).

Prior to gyro, Becker was Chairman/Chief Creative Officer at FCB New York. At FCB he helped move the agency into the digital space integrating its on and offline marketing disciplines.
