Jeep Launches Charging Station Takeover

Jeep is launching a campaign with Volta Industries as a way to introduce the plug-in electric Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

Volta’s charging stations, located at retail locations like Macy's and Kohl's, feature 55-inch digital displays. The Jeep brand creative will be seen in select markets on Volta’s charging stations throughout July 2021.

The unique network takeover allows the brand to reach drivers at key moments in their daily commutes as they charge their vehicles, says Marissa Hunter, vice president, marketing, North America – Stellantis.

This campaign will use Volta Charging’s dynamic weather-based ad capability to serve two different creative concepts from the Jeep brand.

When it is sunny out, the creative will feature a Jeep Wrangler 4xe with the top down, going out and exploring. The alternate piece of creative emphasizes that even in the cloudiest of weather, the Jeep Wrangler is still capable.

Created by Huge Inc., the ad for sunny weather features the copy “Embracing nature has never felt more natural." The creative for inclement weather features the copy "Charge ahead and take on the elements."

Jeep is the first brand to make use of Volta’s weather-based technology.

Volta Charging’s digital media network reaches more than 70 million consumers in 14 of the 15 largest designated market areas.

Earlier this year, Chevrolet used the charging stations' digital displays to help introduce the all-electric 2022 Bolt EUV and the redesigned Bolt EV.
