AOL Wednesday added two new buddies to the lists of every AIM user: a pair of chatbots, MovieFone and ShoppingBuddy, which can provide automated responses to users via instant messages about movie
times and gift-buying recommendations. The MovieFone chatbot is sponsored by AOL's own MovieFone, and the ShoppingBuddy bot is sponsored by the Gap.
