Dae Mellencamp has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at soona, a virtual content creation platform for ecommerce.

Mellencamp is the former President and CEO of Vimeo. She most recently served Chief Operating Officer and board member of Gaia, Inc. She earlier held roles in content strategy and product leadership at About.com, The New York Times, and TD Ameritrade.

Soona was founded in 2019 by Liz Giorgi and Hayley Anderson. Mellencamp, has served on the company’s Advisory Board for two years.

Mellencamp will oversee areas of the business that support the virtual shoot experience from the creative crews to the Operations and Customer Support and the Sales teams.
