NBCUniversal this morning named John Lee Chief Data Officer, a newly created position based in its Global Advertising & Partnerships division.
Lee, who will report to Krishan Bhatia, President & Chief Business Officer of the division, joins from Dentsu's Merkle unit, where he was Global Chief Corporate Strategy Officer.
"John will help us set a new standard for consumer identity and data management," Bhatia said in a statement announcing his appointment.
NBCU said Lee will be responsible for developing its "first-party data strategy" and "data-driven partnerships" for its advertising, marketing and consumer businesses across TV, film, theme park and resort businesses.
