Sony BMG's legal problems continued to mount Monday, as the Texas Attorney General and the advocacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation filed separate lawsuits against the music behemoth stemming
from its copy-protected CDs. The Texas lawsuit accuses Sony of installing "spyware," because the software on some of its music CDs contains a code that both hides from users' view and makes their hard
drives vulnerable to security breaches from outside. Sony, already facing a handful of class-action lawsuits because of the software, late last week announced it was withdrawing some of its
copy-protected CDs from the market.
