Loyalty Firm Clarus Commerce Acquires Digital Engagement Company PrizeLogic

Loyalty platform Clarus Commerce has acquired digital engagement firm PrizeLogic, Clarus announced on Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition combines Clarus’s loyalty-oriented analytics, operations and creative services with PrizeLogic’s Engage customer data platform and capabilities, including sweepstakes, contests, fire drills and social kickbacks.

Clarus saw the purchase as an opportunity to “invest in proprietary technology that will allow us to offer a wider array of services, further deepen our domain expertise and continue to enhance the value proposition of our offering for our clients,” states Tom Caporaso, CEO of Clarus Commerce.

“Our complementary technology, capabilities and customer-centric culture will create significant opportunities,” adds Ryan LaMirand, CEO of PrizeLogic.

PrizeLogic serves such brands as Molson Coors, PepsiCo, Samsung, T-Mobile, Lowe’s and Capital One. Its Engage CDP provides first-party insights on engagement and purchases from millions of consumers, it says.

In addition to its loyalty capabilities, Clarus offers Clarus PCI Certified Payment and data security services.

BrightTower acted as financial advisor to PrizeLogic and its lead investor Pamlico Capital.
