Steve Mandala, has been named chief revenue and local media officer of Estrella Media, a Spanish-language TV network and media company.

Previously, Mandala, a veteran TV network ad executive, was president of ad sales/marketing for Univision Communications and before that executive vice president of cable entertainment sales for NBCUniversal.

Mandala departed his Univision post just before it was sold to a group of investors in December 2020 led by Wade Davis, a former Viacom senior executive. In January 2021, Donna Speciale was hired as president of advertising sales and marketing for Univision Communications.

In addition to his position as NBCUniversal cable entertainment sales, Mandala also led ad sales efforts for NBCU’s Spanish-language network, Telemundo.

The company’s EstrellaTV, a national broadcast TV network, reaches over 40 million U.S. households. Estrella has 17 owned-or-operated TV stations and over 30 affiliated stations, Estrella News, a Spanish-language digital news network, and Estrella Games, a Spanish-language game show channel.

The company also owns 16 radio stations and the Don Cheto Radio Network.
