In its latest bid to drive subscriptions and enhance retention, SiriusXM is offering free trials to the Discovery+ streaming service.

New and existing subscribers to its $34.99-per-month Platinum VIP plan are being offered 12-months of free Discovery+ service.

The VIP plan covers access by two vehicles, up to two SXM app logins and other benefits — including, at present, 12 free months of Apple Music, 60,000-plus hours of Stitcher Premium podcasts, and 5,000-plus Nugs.net concert recordings.

SiriusXM says it will also run special promotions that will offer eligible new subscribers to its Platinum, Music and Entertainment, and Streaming Platinum packages, and eligible existing subscribers who upgrade to one of these packages, a complimentary three-month subscription to Discovery+.
