Minute Media To Launch Second Season Of American Soccer Podcast

90min, the global media brand covering all things soccer, announced its latest podcast, "Football Americana," which will be hosted by Yael Averbuch West — the former U.S Women’s National Team player and current general manager for Gotham FC.

"Football Americana" tells the myriad stories that make American soccer the melting pot it is — putting a spotlight on the diverse experiences and cultures of both the players and fans. It launched in October and produced four episodes in an abbreviated season one, featuring interviews with luminaries including U.S. Women’s National Team legend Heather O’Reilly, current sensation Ricardo Pepi, Portland Thorns star Cryatal Dunn and New England revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner.



The second season of "Football Americana" season two will launch in early 2022 with more notable athletes, pundits and fans. The podcast is sponsored by Body Armor, the official sports drink of MLS. A fifth episode, featuring Body Armor brand ambassador Megan Rapinoe, will air in late December.

All of the episodes, which run from 23 minutes to 56 minutes, allow the athletes to discuss their journeys and the growth of soccer in America, as well as share unheard insights from their careers.
