FCB Names Global CTO, Global CFO As Part Of Succession Plans

FCB is on a promotions roll.

Bella Patel has been upped to Global Chief Talent Officer and Mark Jungwirth to Global Chief Financial Officer. Both executives have been with the agency in North America for more than a decade. Their rise is seen as part of the agency’s succession plan.

The news follows the announcement that FCB's CEO Carter Murray will exit the agency at the end of March. In his stead, CEO Tyler Turnbull has been promoted to Global CEO, while Global Chief Creative Officer Susan Credle adds the role of Global Chair.

Patel and Jungwirth will report directly to Credle and Turnbull.

Patel joined FCB in 2006 and has led the HR practice since 2011. As Chief Talent Officer, FCB Chicago she helped fostered top talent. In the last year, the agency tapped over 280 new staffers, its most diverse group yet.

Prior to joining FCB, Patel worked as part of the HR team at Raytheon Polar Services Company’s Antarctic program, as well as Hyatt Hotels. In her new role, Patel ensure FCB’s “talent above all else” mission.

“At FCB, we believe our creative product is fueled by diversity, data and technology. As Global Chief Talent Officer, Bella will continue to make sure we honor that belief,” said Credle.

Jungwirth, who previously worked as the agency’s North America CFO, becomes Global CFO. Jungwirth joined FCB in 2010, and has been instrumental in the reorganization and operational strategies at the agency. Prior to his 11 years with FCB, Jungwirth worked at IPG, Campbell-Ewald and McCann Worldgroup. In his new global role, Jungwirth expands his partnership with all FCB offices to drive new growth and operational efficiency.

Turnbull called Jungwirth “a true strategic partner who has helped ensure our business operations run in a way that serves the creative product and has found new ways to monetize the value that product and our people deliver for clients.”

FCB’s creative work earned it Cannes Lions 2020/2021 Global Creative Network of the Year.
