Acadia Acquires Ecommerce Specialist Bobsled Marketing

Acadia, the Atlanta-based marketing company founded last year by former 360i CEO Jared Belsky and BizChair founder Sean Belnick, has acquired Bobsled Marketing, an ecommerce specialist with expertise in platforms including Amazon, Instacart, Walmart and Target.

Bobsled, founded seven years ago in New York by Kiri Masters has helped put mid-tier brands like Tribal, Philips, Ren skincare and Voss on the map.

To optimize ecommerce efforts for brands the agency builds programs by taking clients’ entire retail systems into account, including supply chain, operations, reviews, product content, storefront set-up, PPC advertising, and display advertising needs.

Bobsled is a partner in the Amazon Central Sellers program and was recently named one of only 10 named providers in Walmart’s new Agency Partner Eco-System.

“We’re building the ideal customer engine for modern growth marketers,” asserted Belsky. “Increasingly the battlefield for customers is the digital point of sale, so clients are investing heavier with retail partners like Walmart.com, Amazon, Target, and Instacart. Bobsled takes us a giant step forward. We can now complete the transaction cycle media is meant to feed.”

Masters will continue to run the company as part of Acadia and is relocating to Atlanta, where she will be a member of the Acadia leadership team reporting to Belsky.

Masters, who is considered a pioneer in the ecommerce space is the author of two best-selling books on the field including “Amazon for CMOs” and “Instacart for CMOs.” She also writes a retail column in Forbes.

Bobsled is Acadia’s fifth acquisition. It recently acquired software-as-a-service platform Lift361.
