Data Axle has named Colin Anderson as general manager of Apogee, its cooperative donor database for nonprofits..   

Anderson previously served as chief data officer of digital publishing Wintermind, now Pop Acta, helping political organizations and candidates with their email donor acquisition. Prior to that, he worked as vice president of data science at Wiland. 

Anderson’s experience at those firms “will help effectively elevate our solutions with advanced models and tactics to enable marketers to more effectively acquire new donors,” says Niely Shams, president of Nonprofit Solutions and strategic advisory board co-chair for Data Axle. 

Apogee is fueled by data from over 950 members, the company says.
