Mattio Communications Launches White Oak To Expand CPG Reach

Mattio Communications, one of largest cannabis marketing services companies, has launched White Oak Communications, a CPG-focused sister agency.

Drew Tybus will lead the new agency as founder-CEO, which focuses on food and beverage and consumer brands to produce custom marketing and communications campaigns.

Mattio/Oak offers an array of services, including integrated marketing, SEO, crisis communications, social media and SEO.

Tybus is a 20-year PR pro, with key experience in the food and beverage sector. Prior to Mattio, he worked at Evins Communications and Porter Novelli.

“Oak PR represents an expansion into new specialized categories that Mattio hasn't traditionally taken on, and an opportunity to deploy novel, strategy-first approaches to brand building for CPG, food and beverage, hospitality and consumer lifestyle companies,” said Tybus. 

Rosie Mattio, founder-CEO of Mattio Communications, added that Tybus’ ability to “consistently understand and translate client objectives to mainstream audiences is a rare skill in this space.”

Headquartered in New York, Mattio, which also serves lifestyle clients, has offices in Los Angeles and Toronto. Its clients have included Refinery 29, Goop, CNN, Good Morning America and Bloomberg.
