BMW Ultimate Driving Experience Goes Electric

BMW’s annual Ultimate Driving Experience returns for 2022 with an emphasis on the automaker’s electric vehicles.

Attendees can test-drive BMW’s newest fully electric models, the BMW iX SUV and BMW i4 Gran Coupe, as well as high-performance BMW M models, and other core BMW models from the brand’s product portfolio.

The 2022 BMW Ultimate Driving Experience will visit 25 different locations across the country. The event has already been held this year in Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Long Island, New York.

Future stops in 2022 include Boston, Houston, Denver, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego and Tampa. More information on the event series is available on the BMW UDE website.

Attendees can hone their driving skills with the help of a BMW professional driving instructor on the sharp turns and bends of an autocross while street drives allow attendees to get behind the wheel of an array of BMW products on local roads.

Another option at the event is the BMW iX Experience, a deep dive into the new and innovative features of the BMW iX. Finally, interactive displays  showcase new in-vehicle technology and what’s coming soon.

The automaker announced plans last October to open the BMW M Driving Experience at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in summer 2022. The newly constructed venue will host an array of driving classes taught by BMW certified drivers and include vehicle displays, training areas, meeting spaces, a rooftop lounge and hospitality area.

Mini announced in January that it would hold its biannual driving event, Mini Takes The States, this summer and opened registration a few weeks ago. The event has been on hiatus since the pandemic began and was last held in 2018.

The event will end at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg on July 17 for a weekend of community activities. Mini is an independent brand of the BMW Group.
