This 3-minute video for the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is deliberately evocative of a time about 50 years ago when people used to play vinyl records and watch home movies shot on actual film.

The ad, themed “A Tale of Now and Then,” intersperses shots of a couple today and how they were in the late 1960s and early 1970s -- on vacation, driving in the French Riviera -- and now today, having fun at their very nice beachfront home.

The couple appear to be quite spry and energetic today and still driving a Porsche, a modern version of the sporty classic they drove back then.

The ad, via Cramer-Krasselt, is effectively scored by Shirley Bassey’s 1971 hit song “(Where Do I Begin) Love Story.”
