Security platform GoSecure has teamed up with TPx, a managed services provider for small and medium-sized businesses, to launch a tool for preventing suspicious emails from turning into data breaches. 

The new offering, Managed Inbox Detection and Response (IDR), is designed to add  “another layer of protection at the inbox without taxing internal teams,” says Rick Miller, COO of GoSecure. 

TPx’s Managed IDR is powered by the GoSecure Titan platform, a predictive multi-vector detection, prevention, and response technology.

Users can click from their inbox to submit suspicious emails. These are routed through machine-learning filters and subjected to human analysis from the GoSecure Active Response Center.

The firms cite IBM research showing that email is one of the top initial data breach vectors, and that it creates the highest average breach cost.
