MTV, Microsoft Challenge iTunes With Music Service

Viacom's MTV Networks and Microsoft this week announced a partnership to build an online music service coined Urge. Expected by early next year, Urge will be integrated into the next version of Microsoft's Windows Media Player and sell some two million tracks, giving consumers an alternative to Apple's iTunes music store, Yahoo!, AOL, and other music-selling services.
