WPP has acquired Brazilian ecommerce agency Corebiz which will become part of the VMLY&R Commerce global network. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The agency was founded in 2013 and now employs over 600 people across Latin America with major hubs in São Paulo and Franca, Brazil.
Corebiz clients include Whirlpool, Casino Group, Walmart, Carrefour, Decathlon and Estée Lauder.
The deal strengthens the holding company’s commerce capabilities in Latin America. Globally, WPP says it now has 13,500 commerce specialists across its agencies handling $40 billion in direct-to-consumer commerce activity annually for clients.
