GroupM's Wavemaker has named Geoff Spies a group director within its Sports & Live practice, which covers sponsorships, media and experiential marketing.

Spies, who reports to Wavemaker Head of Sports & Live Dan Conti, joins from Omnicom Media Group's Optimum Sports unit, and has more than 15 years experience managing sports and entertainment-related media and sponsorships.
