Hyper-Local 'Muncie Magazine' To Launch This Fall

Local magazine publisher and search directory The Towne Post Network will debut Muncie Magazine, a title that will serve Delaware County, Indiana, this fall.

The magazine is the result of Towne's 19th local franchise agreement -- in this case, with Ball State University alum Jeff Hern, who will serve as its publisher.

The content will include news on local businesses, school happenings, residents and charities. The new brand will sell print, social media, search engine marketing and programmatic advertising.

The magazine will be mailed free to 10,000-plus Muncie businesses and homeowners per month, and also will be available through local distribution outlets.

"Our business model centered around a monthly print publication has seen significant growth and adoption over the last 18 years," said Britt, who claims that the model allows franchisees to work from home and earn nearly $115,000 per year.
