'Cosmopolitan' Launches Travel Booking Service: CosmoTrips

Cosmopolitan has entered the travel business, launching CosmosTrips, a bespoke booking service for the young.

Working with DH Enterprise & Associates, the magazine for women has debuted two- and three-night itineraries in four U.S. cities: New York, Austin, Charleston and West Hollywood. New Orleans, Miami and Las Vegas will be added in the months to come.

Available with one-click access, these itineraries include best places to stay, eat and play, vetted by the Cosmo editorial team and secured in collaboration with Travel Curious, an experience provider.

“Our audience of Gen-Zers and millennials are considered the golden generation for travel, and research shows that they prioritize experiences over things,” states Nancy Berger, senior vice president/publishing director and chief revenue officer of Hearst Youth + Wellness Group.

Berger adds, “CosmoTrips travel packages are specifically curated for this demographic, vetted by our editors, and include perks and 'surprise and delight' moments, many of which are exclusive to our offering.”

“Our editors love to travel—and so does our audience,” adds Cosmopolitan Editor in Chief Jessica Giles “CosmoTrips not only takes out the stress of planning their next vacation, but travelers are guaranteed an experience that passes our editors’ pickiness test, all without lifting a finger.”

One of the sponsors supporting the launch is Klarna, the “travel now, pay later” provider. CosmoTrips will be featured in premium placement formats across Klarna’s app and website and promoted through Klarna’s influencer network.

The magazine points to a recent Avail surveys showing that 71% of Gen Zers and millennials plan the same amount of travel or more in 2022 than they did prior to the pandemic.
