Earlier this month, the company acquired
full-service ecommerce and Amazon consultancy Expert Edge to accelerate Havas Market’s global expansion.
Ramos reports to David Jennison, managing director of Havas Market and CEO of Expert Edge, following the recent acquisition.
Ramos is charged with growing Havas Market and sustaining the development of its ecommerce offering, including direct-to-consumer, marketplaces and data and analytics. He will also work closely with Havas Media Group’s local leadership and global product teams.
Havas Market clients include Dreams, Pernod Ricard and JDE.Jennison noted Ramos' skill-set: “He has an uncanny ability to join up the dots across ecommerce, from performance media and marketplaces through to customer experience and tech solutions.”
Previously, Ramos was EMEA executive director of performance at Omnicom Media Group. He worked with SAP, Philips and Mercedes-Benz on ecommerce, paid social, paid search and programmatic.
Prior to Omnicom, Ramos worked at Wunderman Thompson. He then spent a year client-side at Sainsbury’s, overseeing digital campaign strategy for its Nectar loyalty program.“Our industry has rigid perceptions of what ecommerce is, so I want to help expand the definition and show how it encompasses every stage of the retail experience," Ramos said.
Media Group launched Havas Market in October 2020 to create more meaningful shopping experiences for consumers and drive growth for brands. It has since expanded to more than 20 markets.
