Infiniti Launches App, Integrates New Alexa Features

Inifiniti is launching the MyInfiniiti App and separately adding Alexa functionality to one of its models.

The MyInfiniti app can be found in the Apple App and Google Play stores. The MyInfiniti app brings new functionalities by combining several different apps into one, according to the automaker.

It includes features that will make it easier for owners to schedule service at dealerships, including service desk live chats and the ability to  view the vehicle’s service history and maintenance schedules and receive notifications of applicable vehicle recalls or service campaigns.

Owners can also add an Ininiti InTouch Services Premium package subscription, a fee-based service that allows users to remotely start or stop their vehicle, remotely lock and unlock their vehicle’s doors, see vehicle location, and check vehicle status including tire pressure, brakes and oil pressure.

“In a world where mobile devices hold so much power, the MyInfiniti app will only add to the ease and comfort that comes with owning an Infiniti vehicle,” said Craig Keeys, group vice president at Infiniti Americas says in a release.

Separately, Infiniti has added Amazon Alexa to its QX80 flagship SUV.

The addition of Amazon Alexa is meant to help customers simplify and organize their lives, according to the automaker.

Alexa can play music, place calls and control smart home devices via voice commands and it acts just like a home Alexa device.

The 2023 Infiniti QX80 is now available at retailers across the U.S. with a starting MSRP of $72,700.
