Email From Parler Revealed Emails Of VIP Members

The conservative social platform Parler exposed over 300 email addresses of its VIP members in an email announcing its pending takeover by the rapper formerly known as Kanye West.

With Parler having failed to blind copy the emails, the personal details were “visible to everyone else in the email chain,” Fortune writes.

The email proclaimed the “monumental new chapter,” and added that the VIP members are “an invaluable part of the Parler family and experience,” according to a screenshot shared by newsletter writer Adam Ryan, who broke the news, Fortune says.

Affected members included people who work for Donald Trump and another for Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), The Daily Dot reports. Also included were journalists from Epoch Times and the Federalist.

The reaction was swift from all sides.

“The email chain was incredible. Just a bunch of nobody verified accounts pushing their own product. Racial slurs,” @TrackInflation wrote, according to the Daily Dot. “Upset individuals getting doxed. One guy was pushing racist websites he ran. Incredible group of folks here.”

But a “prominent right-winger” wrote: “Hi everyone! It’s a pleasure being doxxed with such a fine crew,” Fortune reports.

In other West-related news, the French fashion house Balenciaga has severed ties because of anti-Semitic comments reportedly made by the wrapper.

The purchase of Parler by West should be wrapped by the end of this year.
