'Hocus Pocus 2' Breaks Opening Weekend Streaming Record

Disney’s “Hocus Pocus 2” has set a record for streaming titles’ opening weekends, with 2.7 billion minutes watched on Disney+ following its Sept. 30 debut, according to Nielsen’s latest top 10 rankings. 

The Halloween-timed sequel surpassed the previous record, set by the animated musical “Encanto,” with 2.2 billion minutes watched during its first three days of availability on Disney+. 

“Frozen 2,” another Disney sequel, remains in third place, with 2.17 billion minutes viewed after its March 15 debut on Disney+.
