Dentsu Merging Two Japan Units To Bolster Its Digital Transformation Service Offering

Dentsu Group is merging two of its businesses in Japan. Artificial Intelligence and analytics specialist Data Artist is being absorbed by Dentsu Digital, one of Japan’s largest digital agencies.

The integration is expected to be completed by next April.

The company said the move was part of a broader restructuring effort that will see the Japan operation organized into four client-facing service areas:  AX (Advertising Transformation); BX (Business Transformation); CX (Customer Experience Transformation) and DX (Digital Transformation).

Dentsu Digital’s absorption of Data Artist is designed to bolster digital transformation service offering.

Post integration, Dentsu Digtial will have more than 2,300 employees. The operation is run by CEO Soichi Kawakami.
