To celebrate the holiday season, the SPAM brand is launch a limited-edition SPAM figgy pudding, a Christmas treat. A traditional British Christmas dessert, figgy pudding is made with seasonal spices, beef fat and dried fruit.

SPAM's version features cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice and cloves, orange, fig and dried fruit.

BBDO Minneapolis is the creative agency behind the ad campaign.

The push is supported by paid social.

Most Americans know figgy pudding from the holiday song “We Wish you a Merry Christmas.” The agency reimagined the song with new lyrics, sung by Santa, reindeer, elves, Charles Dickens' Tiny Tim, a yeti and a holiday hog.

Set inside a snow globe, the characters struggle try to explain SPAM figgy pudding, but focus on its  flavor.

“Spam is a classic that continually reinvents itself with consumers, so it made sense to take some holiday classics and give them a new spin,” said Laura Fegley, Chief Creative Officer, BBDO MPLS.”

The new seasonal variety is available while supplies last atSPAM.com, Amazon and Walmart. SPAM's last limited-edition holiday flavor, “Pumpkin Spice,” sold out in under 12 hours.
