Readly Offers Digital Titles In France

Digital subscription platform Readly has debuted in France, offering over 6,700 international magazines and newspapers, including French titles such as Libération, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Maxi Cuisine, Public and L’Express.

Readly is supporting the launch with a three-month campaign featuring the theme, “Readly for the Reader.”

France will be Readily’s fourth core market. This year, the total French magazine and newspaper market is worth USD $7.5 billion. The firm also provides podcasts.

To support this launch, Readly is conducting a series of PR and marketing activities, working with event agency Unexpected.

This includes a scratch card give-away competition at Paris Metro stations, a truck driving around Paris showing the range of French content, quizzes and “news criers” that will hand out free trials of Readly.

“We are delighted to start welcoming French readers to our platform to discover our breadth of renowned national and international content,” states Mats Brandt, CEO at Readly.

Readly acquired Toutabo in the autumn of last year, then launched the co-branding “ePresse par Readly.”
