Tucker Carlson, host of Fox News Channel's "Tucker Carlson Tonight," has been named "Misinformer of the Year" for 2022, according to media watchdog Media Matters.
Carlson's induction represents the eighth Fox News-connected entity to win the annual awards in the 19 years Media Matters has been bestowing it (see other winners below).
Citing Carlson's demonization and endangerment of the LGBTQ community, his elevated pro-Kremlin propaganda surrounding Russia's invasion of Ukraine, promotion of conspiracy theories surrounding the January 6 insurrection and its Congressional committee hearings, Media Matters described him as "a dangerous misinformer" that is "creating his own misinformation bubble, platforming some of the worst misinformers on his prime-time show nightly.

"Carlson leveraged his platform to amplify the reach of these 10 individuals as they spread vile and dangerous misinformation. They pushed topics including: bigotry against immigrants and the LGBTQ community, misinformation about COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and climate change, and general right-wing grievances."
A far-left outfit doesn't like conservatives. Not much news value here.
