Forbes Upgrades Digital, Revenue Teams With New Appointments

Forbes has promoted several executives in its revenue and digital organizations, including some to C-level positions.

Taha Ahmed was named chief growth officer, David Johnson chief data officer and  Sameer Patwardhan to SVP, Technology. 

These appointments were made by Chief Digital and Information Officer Vadim Supitskiy, to whom these executives will report. 

Ahmed, who formerly was the SVP of Corporate Development, Strategy and Consumer Growth, will continue to manage all portfolio investments.

JohnsonForbes’ first Chief Data Officer, led the creation of ForbesOne, a First-party data platform, and has credited with transforming Forbes into a data-driven organization, the publisher says. 

Patwardhan  has led Forbes' migration to the cloud and driven automation across the organization. In Patwardhan will be also heading Engineering and QA.

In addition, Chief Revenue Officer Sherry Phillips has announced strategic promotions in the revenue organization.  

These include Leann Bonanno to SVP, ForbesLive & MarketingAbbey Smith to SVP Account Management, Kyle Vinansky to SVP, Global Sales and Marissa Brown to VP, North American Sales. 

Bonanno was formerly Group VP of ForbesLive. Smith has been at Forbes since 2010 and launched Forbes’ first ever Account Management team in 2019.

“With these longtime Forbes veterans at the helm of our sales, marketing and client teams, Forbes is positioned to continue focusing on growth, diversification and opportunities that align with company-wide priorities,” Phillips states.
