'Washington Post' Features Interactive Game In The New Space Age Section

The Washington Post is offering an interactive game as part of a project that focuses on the resurgence of space travel.

The new section, titled The New Space Age, includes a game in which readers are challenged by having to navigate a field of space debris.

The New Space Age also features 10 stories, graphics and videos that examine the boom of the private space industry, the long-term ambitions of NASA and foreign agencies.

It also explores the societal consequences of this new age of space travel.

The goal is to provide a visual look to readers as “we enter a pivotal moment in the history of human spaceflight,” states Jeff Dooley, editor for special newsroom initiatives at the Post.

Dooley adds that the Post “has long been dedicated to innovative coverage of the space industry, offering live video programming of rocket launches, embedding with NASA in their headquarters and providing in-depth coverage of the resurgence of space exploration.”

The section, which is being published in the wake of NASA’s Artemis launch, was scheduled to appear online starting on Monday, January 9, and in print January 24.
