Podcast software company PodPros, has launched a tool that it says can help podcast hosts garner Apple reviews from other podcasters. 

The new software offering, PodLottery, features a daily lottery-style drawing that allows podcasters to win reviews. When a podcaster’s number is picked in the drawing, they win “integrity based” reviews.

It is not totally clear how this will work, or why it has to be done through a lottery. But PodPros hopes to have 6,000 active podcasters using the software.

"Ultimately, we decided to create this solution because we've found that podcasters who regularly receive Apple reviews on their podcast continue podcasting longer than those who do not receive any reviews," said Alex Sanfilippo, CEO and founder of PodPros.
