McCann Worldgroup Reorganizes To Promote Collaboration, Global Agility

McCann Worldgroup has revamped key management in order to deliver creative solutions faster.

The changes are an opportunity to promote greater collaboration and agility between the companies in the McCann Worldgroup network. They include McCann (advertising), MRM (martech and relationship marketing), Craft (production) and FutureBrand (brand strategy and design).

CEO Daryl Lee announced the global Chief Creative Officer role across McCann Worldgroup and McCann will be combined into one post. As such, Alex Lopez,global president and Chief Creative Officer, McCann Worldgroup, is leaving.

The organizational changes also include title and responsibility shifts: 

Suzanne Powers, global President and CSO, is being promoted to Chair of FutureBrand and global Chief Product Officer, McCann Worldgroup. She is charged with innovation and thought leadership across Worldgroup agencies. She will also lead the integration of FutureBrand’s brand strategy and design solutions into the McCann Worldgroup portfolio.

Kate MacNevin, global Chair and CEO of MRM, is being promoted to global Chief Operating Officer of McCann Worldgroup, while retaining her MRM role.

Nannette Dufour will add global Chief Sustainability Officer, a new role for the company to her duties as global Chief Client Officer, McCann Worldgroup.

Harjot Singh, global CSO of McCann, is being promoted to global Chief Strategy Officer of McCann Worldgroup, while retaining his McCann role.

A few days earlier, McCann Worldgroup named John Dunleavy to the new position of president, McCann Worldgroup, North America. He reports to Lee. Dunleavy was previously global chief client officer, Ogilvy Group, and WPP global client leader for IBM.

Lee said the new assignments will allow McCann Worldgroup to work as “one united team.”
