Wellness Media Outlet BFY Offers Influencers Cut Of Live-Shopping Revenue

In an effort to revolutionize live shopping, the Better For You (BFY) media outlet is introducing an influencer program to its recently launched show, “Product Search Live,” which invites wellness brands to show off their products in an interactive multi-platform experience.

BFY is a new venture from Peter Groverman, co-founder of Grovara, a global B2B marketplace for wellness brands. The media outlet initially launched this past July with a “how it’s made” TV series called “Behind the Wrapper” that pitted wellness brands against each other via live challenges.

Last month, the company announced “Product Search Live,” a live shopping experience that digital marketers, influencers and celebrities can stream on their own social media channels and ultimately make money.

BFY’s new influencer program will launch alongside the first episode of “Product Search Live,” which will take place on Thursday, February 23 between 7 and 9 p.m. EST.

During the show, influencers are able to comment and share to earn commission when their viewers buy live. The show is offering up to 3% net revenue payout on all products sold during the program’s two-hour window.

The program will feature better-for-you CPG brands -- including Riot Energy, Blue Shift Nutrition, Lilu and more -- and celebrity hosts who the company says will take viewers on an interactive digital experience to discover new products.

BFY has also brought on two live-shopping veterans to help guide “Product Search Live.” Martin Bispels, the former vice president of business and corporate development at QVC, will act as the show’s executive producer, and QVC’s Albany Irvin will serve as the show’s host.

“Product Search Live” will appear across dozens of platforms due to live video-streaming distributor Switchboard Live. BFY says it is “eyeing 24/7 live shopping programming in the future,” with plans to add more experiences that target specific brand or audience segments.
