In Spring, Snow Melts -- And So Does Burger King

Burger King is bringing back its Melts and adding a new version of its Chicken Fries, as the QSR attempts to create some excitement in this typically slow time of year.

The Melts come in three iterations: Classic, Spicy and Bacon. They launched March 6 and will be on the menu through May 14.

The Classic Melt features two slices of toasted bread with two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese and Stacker Sauce. The Spicy Melt features two slices of toasted bread with two Whopper Jr. patties, topped with American cheese, jalapenos, caramelized onions and a creamy, spicy sauce. The Bacon Melt features two slices of toasted bread with two Whopper Jr. patties, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and Stacker Sauce.

In addition, BK is launching Spicy Chicken Fries, which feature “a blend of spices that are sure to pack a punch,” per a press release. Spicy Chicken Fries are the latest iteration of the product. Past versions include Buffalo Chicken Fries, Pretzel Chicken Fries and Jalapeno Chicken Fries.

Starting March 9, BK Royal Perks members can enter the “Royal Meltness” sweepstakes via the BK app and BK.com to win instant prizes worth more than $200,000 and a special lineup of Melt meals.

BK introduced Whopper Melts last year at this time.
