Taco Bell is testing the Cheesy Chicken Crispinada, a shredded chicken-stuffed empanada.

For now, the Cheesy Chicken Crispinada is available at several Taco Bell locations in Knoxville, Tennessee for a limited time. The shredded chicken and cheese-filled fried pastry includes a side of spicy ranch sauce. It currently sells for $3.49 or as part of a box that also includes Cinnamon Twists, a Crunchy Taco and a medium drink for $8.49

Taco Bell is also bringing back the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito, which was first launched during the 2022 holiday season. That burrito includes a double portion of grilled marinated steak, seasoned rice and the chain’s various sauces, all rolled up in a flour tortilla.

The chain is also bringing back the Bacon Club Chalupa, which features grilled chicken, bacon, avocado ranch sauce, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and the three-cheese blend in a pillowy chalupa shell for $4.99.

The Crispinada may be one of Taco Bell’s limited-time offers, like Mexican Pizza and Nacho Fries -- though Mexican Pizza has been on the permanent menu since September. The launch comes as same-store sales rose 11% in the fourth quarter of 2022.
