Snap Hires Regional Presidents, Including Rob Wilk As President Of Americas

Snap Inc. –– parent company of social platform Snapchat –– has announced Microsoft ad-veteran Rob Wilk as the company’s first-ever President of Americas, marking its most recent addition in a series of regional hires in the advertising and monetization space.

Wilk spent the past eight years at Microsoft where he served as corporate vice president and global head of advertising, responsible for the company’s global ad teams and scaling their offerings.

In an internal company-wide memo, Snap COO Jerry Hunter said that company wanted someone who had experience building a large and growing advertising business and appreciated Wilk’s approach in leading customer-centric sales teams and sustained customer relationships.

Wilk will run sales across Snap’s largest region, which includes the US, Canada and Latin America, and manage its largest ad partners based in the region.

In addition to hiring Wilk, Snap has appointed a number of recent regional presidents, including Ronan Harris –– previously Google’s vice president and managing director of UK and Ireland –– as President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as Meta’s ex-VP of India Ajit Mohan, who is now Snap’s President of the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
