London-based tech publishing giant United Business Media Tuesday announced the acquisition of two major tech conference businesses. UBM said it would pay $65 million to acquire MediaLive
International, which produces conferences on technology and telecommunications; and $12.3 million to acquire Shorecliff Communications, which produces the RFID World and TelcoTV Conference & Expo.
