Taking A Bite Of The Classical Apple

Apple this week launched Apple Music Classical, an app that lets classical music fans experience the music in Spatial Audio.

This ad features a man searching for artists like Alice Sarah Ott and Carina Canellakis, who are obscure to all but the most ardent classical fans.

The ad notes that you can search by artist, composer, instrument and orchestra.

The launch comes as Spotify and Apple Music are judged to be comparable, though Spotify offers more podcasts.

With this latest launch, Apple Music may win over more audiophiles, especially those whose tastes run to classical. A recent poll shows that 35% of American adults listen to classical music, though most fans are over 55 years old.
