Tony Kalathara has been named group creative director for Innocean USA.
He reports to Jason Sperling, Chief Creative Officer, who touted Kalathara’s “level of passion, energy and love for big idea.”
Previously, he was creative director at Meta, where he worked on Meta Quest hardware and apps. He also participated in Grand Prix winning campaigns, such as “Google Home of the Whopper” and “Burning Stores” from Burger King.
Kalathara said his new agency was known for “a great culture and great people” and he was pleased that Sperling knew “how to use creative’s special skill sets. And for me, that means letting me do my thing and come up with inspiring ideas everywhere.”
Innocean brands include Hyundai, Genesis, Wienerschnitzel and UC Davis Health and LG.
Sperling was hired by the agency in mid-February. Prior to the appointment, he was global executive creative director at Meta Reality Labs. He oversees client relationships across Hyundai, Genesis, Wienerschnitzel, Pacific Life, Supernal, UMass Global, Signature Kitchen Suite, Hankook Tire, among others.
Founded in Seoul, South Korea, in 2005, Innocean is a creative network with 31 overseas operations across 21 countries.
