14 Countries Represented In This Year's 'See It Be It' Program At Cannes

Cannes Lions has disclosed the participants chosen for the 2023 See It Be It female talent acceleration program taking place during this year’s Festival of Creativity in June.

Sixteen female creatives from 14 countries, have been selected to take part in the program, which the organization is putting on in partnership with Verizon.

The program started in 2014 with the goal of helping to achieve equal gender representation among creative directors across the industry.

Those selected for the program this year will receive a Festival pass, travel to and from Cannes, accommodations and will attend an exclusive program of events and mentoring workshops with industry leaders.

This year an “Alumni Tutor” has been introduced to the program for the first time—Steph Cajucom, creative director at Translation, who participated in last year’s program. She’ll support the women in this year’s class throughout the week and work closely with program chairperson and ambassador, Madonna Badger, founder and Chief Creative Officer. Together, Cannes stated, the two women will “elevate the program and further the impact See It Be It has on the industry well beyond the Festival week.”

Badger explained that this year’s theme is “Know your power.” Creative women, she said, “have a power unlike any other as they use their strengths and vulnerabilities to know their own power and express their talents. This is very true for the 2023 Cannes See It Be It group.”
