As part of an array of new content deals for its free, ad-supported service, Samsung Ads this morning announced exclusive deals with A+E Networks, as well as Conan O'Brien, who in a pre-recorded message to media-buyers during its newfront presentation in New York City this morning, emphasized, "It's free. That's right, free. What's free anymore?"
Presumably, O'Brien just meant it was free to viewers on Samsung devices, not the ad placements purchased by advertisers and media-buyers to reach them on Samsung devices.
"You have to pay for everything," O'Brien continued, noting, "You have to pay for water these days. It's absurd."
Now this is newfronts, so Conan isn't the only thing that's new," said Samsung's Sarah Nelson (below) told its newfront audience, adding: "Today, we are thrilled to announce an expanded relationship with with A+E Networks, which will create the most in-depth content offering of A+E content on any FAST service.
"This new partnership will bring our TV Plus users expanded access to new fashion channels, AVOD content, and previously aired hits."
