Etsy Pushes Search By Image Feature In 'Life' Spot

Online marketplace Etsy latest campaign, “For the Life You’re Making,” has launched the third ad in the series: "Lamp."

This ad also has a twist: It highlights Search by Image feature released in November 2022.

With the new tool, shoppers can describe what they’re looking for with images rather than keywords. Just shoot a photo on the Etsy app (iOS and Android ready) and discover relevant items on the site. The concept hopes to speed up the search and sale process.

In March, two spots for "For the Life You’re Making" underscored the importance of handmade crafts to provide joy to customers.

Earlier in May, Etsy's in-house brand team debut its largest out-of-home campaign, “More Ways,” initially in New York and Chicago, which will also run in the U.K. One New York ad reads: " More Ways To Spoil The Bodega Cat."
