Lifetime Launches National Campaign To Break Dish

To add pressure to its carriage battle with EchoStar's Dish Network, Lifetime Entertainment Sunday announced a national campaign encouraging subscribers to "Switch from Dish." Lifetime, which rejected what it called a "take it or leave it" offer from Dish, claiming it would have "crippled" both Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network, said it was embarking on the national, multimedia campaign encourage Dish subscribers to "Take Back Your Lifetime" by switching to another TV provider. Lifetime did not disclose whether the campaign would include paid media spending, or simply PR. -- Joe Mandese
