Joan Creative will now be offering clients advanced media services via a partnership
with New York-based media agency Crossmedia.
The new offering is dubbed JoanxMedia, an integrated media buying and planning offering powered by Crossmedia. It will be available across Joan’s growing client roster, which includes eBay, ZenBusiness, European Wax Center and S&P Global. The latter two clients are already shared with Crossmedia.
This partnership brings the largest minority-owned media agency together with a female-owned creative shop.
Crossmedia also works with brands like Etihad Airways, Tommy Hilfiger and U.S. Bank.
“This is a huge milestone for Joan,” said agency CEO and co-founder Lisa Clunie. “We are a highly creative team and what really sets us apart is our advanced brand building skill set. Moving forward, we’ll be able to unlock the power of media from the onset, allowing us to push further and faster on creativity and effectiveness.”
Added Crossmedia CEO Kamran Asghar, “Integration of creative and media has become a lost art in the agency business and we’re excited to partner with Joan ... to reinvigorate a traditional business model that has gone missing.” JoanxMedia will be led by Executive Director Jodi Monroe who brings over two decades of experience in the media space. In addition to leading teams at Crossmedia, she has also held senior roles at Media Storm, Initiative, Cramer Krasselt, and Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.
The media offering is Joan’s latest effort to expand its client services. Other units include in-house culture brand and IP company Damn Joan, special merchandise arm Only from Joan, and production arm Joan Studios.
In June the agency, based in New York, opened a London office.
In addition to New York and with a staff of 600 Crossmedia has offices in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, London and four outposts across Germany.
