SB Nation, the Vox Media sports network, has unveiled two paid newsletters for football fans: Pride of Detroit Direct for the Detroit Lions and Arrowhead Pride Premier for the Kansas City Chiefs.
These newsletters, the first paid products from SB Nation, will cost $50 for subscriptions. Each will appear twice a week in season and once a week during the off-period.
Pride of Detroit Direct will be authored by Jeremy Reisman, head of Pride of Detroit, and Arrowhead Pride Premier by Pete Sweeney, head of Arrowhead Pride.
“We saw an opportunity at SB Nation to further serve these two thriving communities, which garner millions of users, as they are already engaging with us in so many ways across onsite comments, social, podcasts and more,” says Priyanka Arya, senior vice president of consumer revenue for Vox Media.
Arya adds, Vox sought to “further diversify our offerings through a new direct revenue stream.”
The first edition hits August 31, coinciding with the NFL Kickoff game featuring the Lions and Chiefs.
