Aquafina Sponsors Independent Films On IFC

PepsiCo's bottled water brand, Aquafina, is sponsoring an Independent Film Channel online and TV initiative to promote independent filmmakers. For the program, Aquafina and IFC have created a co-branded site, medialab.ifc.com, which hosts short online videos submitted by filmmakers. The IFC last December started soliciting videos of no more than six minutes; currently the site hosts around 350 clips. Visitors can vote for their favorites, and the IFC plans to show the winners on air, starting in April. The site displays Aquafina's logo and a link to the bottled water company's home page, which in turn links to a page with content from last month's Sundance film festival in Park City, Utah.
