Blinkx Video Gets Ad-Support

Video and audio search firm blinkx on Thursday announced a partnership deal with news producer ITN to create and power the ITN's video player, as well as make their news searchable through www.blinkx.tv. ITN is the latest site to be added to blinkx's news and information lineup, already featuring Reuters, Business Week, Euro News, and The New York Times. Over 80 ITN video clips will be offered to consumers every week, covering national and international news, analysis, and interviews. ITN is the first blinkx partner to use blinkx.tv DirectPlay, allowing it to be linked to from www.blinkx.tv's search results as well as www.ITN.co.uk. The site is funded by advertising.
